Vintage 1965 Springbok Circular Puzzle A Court Reception COMPLETE w/original box This 1965 Springbok circular puzzle from Metropolitan Museum of Art shows a Chinese court reception scene designed based on an adaption of a porcelain plate which was made in the late 1600's. The plate itself was gifted to the museum by John D. Rockefeller, Jr. A summary of the history of the plate design is given on the back of the box. The box states "more than" 500 pieces, which I did not count when putting it together. This puzzle is complete with its original box. It is 20 1/4" in diameter (the box is 14 1/4" diameter). Two of us assembled it in a few hours and it was just the right challenge to be both fun and satisfying. Puzzle is in excellent used condition. One piece is slightly bent (see close up photo). Box is in fair condition. It has been taped with clear packing tape completely around top and bottom. Tape does the job of keeping box intact however.
